Johan Ferrao

Hi I’m Johan! A professional guitarist and producer with a decade of playing and recording/mixing experience. I graduated Salford University with a first-class honour in Creative Music Production and have experience teaching students of all ability levels in both group and 1-1 lessons.

My lessons will be tailored to your individual goals and ability whether it be learning songs, music theory, mapping the fretboard or preparing for grades. They will all have an emphasis on understanding the language of music; not just which notes to play but why they are played. I can teach electric, acoustic and bass guitar and music production in any DAW of your choice.

I will also provide free access to my work-in-progress app which is an interactive way to learn the fretboard, showing scales, chord voicings and arpeggios across the neck, converting tabs to more intuitive visual depictions and much much more

Outside of teaching I work in a variety of genres, currently actively playing in pop-rock, jazz, blues-rock, funk and soul covers and session bands.  I also have experience recording and mixing rock, jazz, pop, funk, Rnb, boom-bap and trap music both inside and outside of studio settings.
